| City Info | Adel is a city and county seat of Dallas County, Iowa, United States. It is located along the North Raccoon River. Its population was 3,682 at the 2010 census. Adel is the oldest town within Dallas County. Originally called Penoach, Adel was incorporated in 1847, and changed to its current name in 1849.
