    • 1957B $1 Silver certificates are very common with slight collectible value.

Notes without star serial numbers in circulated condition value around $1.50-$3 each. Notes in uncirculated condition (like new) up to $5-$6.

Notes with star serial numbers in circulated condition value around $5-$8 each. Uncirculated stars to $11-$15.

Most dealers will not make offers on these notes. Some may offer wholesale prices. Best to sell personally to friends, new collectors or colleagues getting into the paper money hobby.

    • These notes have nominal collectible value. Refer to comment above.

Do not confuse paper money with shiny silver or gold plate metallic replicas. Paper money looks like cash in your wallet, metallic replicas are entirely metal and shiny. I do not appraise these items.

  3. I also have a $1 silver certificate dollar bill but my serial number does not start with a letter, it has a star then 10760743B and it’s a 1957 B series. Is there a difference when the serial number starts with a letter or doesn’t have a letter at the beginning?
